This article aims to present a practical method for calculating polygon areas based on their vertices, making this process comprehensible for students at various educational levels, from elementary to higher education. While high school and college students will find the approach more accessible due to their prior knowledge of matrices and determinants, this practical method is designed to be understood by students regardless of their familiarity with these mathematical concepts. The article presents a formula previously discussed by Zerbinatti in 2015, aiming to provide an accessible and applicable tool for calculating polygon areas.
