Abstract

This article develops a discussion about the experience with the research "Youth Cosmopolitism in Brazil", a constituent part of the international project "Cultures Juveniles à l 'ère de la globalization", which aims to develop a comparative study in global cities to discuss how young people construct Representations of themselves and their relations with the world through the consumption of global or local cultural goods. We present the theoretical-methodological choices made for adaptations and innovations of the research, due to the challenges encountered in the application process within a hybrid and peripheral context.
