SOLO LOS HOMBRES SON POLICÍAS: orden público, violencias heteronormadas y sus reflejos en The Wire

El artículo ofrece un análisis de marcos aplicado a los medios de comunicación, con el objetivo de presentar los encuadres centrales sobre los que se imagina la labor policial de las mujeres. Para ello, se utiliza como sujeto de estudio a la investigadora Shakima Greggs, detective y protagonista de la serie de televisión The Wire. El estudio concluye que el personaje refleja un imaginario social arraigado también fuera de la ficción que obliga a las mujeres policías a “comportarse como hombres” para ser respetadas, y que vincula la homosexualidad a una inversión genérica.

ABSTRACT
The paper offers a framework analysis applied to the media, with the aim of presenting the central frames on which women's police work is imagined. To do this, Shakima Greggs, a detective and star of the quality serial TV The Wire, is used as the subject of study. The study concludes that the character reflects a social imaginary rooted outside of fiction, that forces female police officers to "behave like men" to be respected, and that links homosexuality to a generic investment.

RESUMO
O artigo fornece uma análise das marcações dos meios de comunicação, com o objetivo de apresentar os enquadramentos centrais sobre o que se pensa ser o trabalho policial realizado pelas mulheres. Para isso, utiliza-se a análise da personagem Shakima Greggs, protagonista da série de televisão The Wire. O estudo conclui que o personagem reflete um arraigado imaginário social também fora da ficção que obriga as mulheres policiais a comportam-se" como homens, para que sejam respeitadas, vinculando também a homossexualidade a um investimento genérico.
