O USO DO YOUTUBE COMO RECURSO DE ENSINO/APRENDIZAGEM NAS AULAS DE LÍNGUA INGLESA

The present work sought to observe how the students of the 8th year of elementary school, from the Coronel Raimundo Leão school, use the Youtube platform for learning the English language. In addition, to show how this platform can be present as an educational support in a second language, in addition to showing the difficulties present in the daily lives of these students and pointing out ways for their learning. We are based on the author Baladeli and Altoé (2009) who come to explain how Youtube can awaken students' interest in learning, and Souza (2012) who explains that linking method and methodology can make teaching more attractive. The research was carried out through a case study with a qualitative approach during two days. Some difficulties were perceived, such as speaking in English, reading texts and also listening due to non-practice in the classroom, due to a lack of professional qualification of the teacher and her lack of interest in bringing improvements to the teaching of English. Even with the difficulties, the learners participate better in the classes when they have a didactic that leaves the monotony and what they are used to. After applying the teaching plan, it was possible to observe that the students were more motivated and familiarized with the class, showing that the new one draws their attention and makes them enjoy participating in the classes.
