Abstract

The perspective of a History also focused on characters from the past that were disregarded or times as less important made possible analyzes such as the one proposed here, which is to reflect on the story of Mr. Valdemar Ribeiro de Souza and the possibility of similarities between this one and that of others immigrants who move and stay in Alto Turi, especially in Zé Doca. The importance of this study is given by the notability that those who immigrate to Alto Turi, as well as to Zé Doca, have for the formation and development of these specialties. This study takes as methodological bases the existing bibliography about the history of these spaces, but also the Oral History, soaked by memory, in the process of gathering information from interviews to be carried out with family, friends, acquaintances and Mr. Dico himself. . However, it is evident that the importance of this character goes beyond social, economic or even political issues, since he has a unique job in the process of preserving the history and culture of the city of Zé Doca, in the Northeast region of Brazil and of the world.
