Abstract

With the advent of new digital technologies, society has undergone many transformations, especially in the world of work. In view of this, this research discusses the relationship between work, technology and capitalism in a gender cut, addressing the work of digital influencers – women engaged in Instagram who can influence people through their content production. The objective of this work is to understand how the capitalist system, within a new clothing, that of modern technologies, uses virtual space to perpetuate a system based on the exploitation of female bodies. To understand how all these mechanisms relate, digital sources it was used: websites and business blogs, Instagram posts and YouTube videos. The collection, organization and critical evaluation of these sources made it possible to study the world of work that is becoming increasingly digital. Therefore, a study of gender, in the 21st century, in the age of information and communication, where everything occurs quickly, in a continuous flow of change, we should note, is important not only for the history of women, but also for the history of the present time.
