LOS MONSTRUOS COMO METÁFORAS DEL MAL (TRADUCCIÓN AL ESPAÑOL)

Las relaciones existentes entre el mal y la monstruosidad son vínculos que han llamado la atención de filósofos y teólogos desde la Antigüedad. También hacen parte del inventario de tales reflexiones y aproximaciones posibles y realizadas, a lo largo de la historia del arte, entre monstruosidad, metáfora y literatura. Los conocimientos adquiridos a partir de la investigación del mal a través del discurso literario confirman su condición perenne en nuestra época contemporánea. Por eso, presentamos la traducción inédita, al español, del ensayo “Los monstruos como metáforas del mal”, publicado originalmente en 2007 por el profesor Julio César Jeha (Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais – UFMG). La presentación de la traducción en español, con un prefacio también inédito, pretende dar visibilidad al citado texto teórico en el escenario de la crítica literaria latinoamericana.
