Literary discourse reshapes the world through unconventional perspectives, using the plasticity of language to express viewpoints on the semiotized world while revealing itself as a product of discursivity. This study examines the stylistic framework of Maria Valéria Rezende by analyzing recurring discursive strategies in Outros cantos (2016) and Carta à Rainha Louca (2019). Grounded in Discursive Semiotics and studies on style and ethos (DISCINI, 2004; 2015), the analysis highlights how Rezende constructs a humanizing ethos that gives voice to marginalized actors. Christian faith emerges as a recurring theme, sometimes aligned with Judeo-Christian morality, sometimes subverting it, generating moral tensions and competing axiological values. By projecting this ethos, Rezende reconfigures notions of religiosity and the Man–God conflict, transcending the Manichean logic often present in religious discourse.
