The various factors of environmental manipulation that are related to social, economic and technological changes resulting from population growth are extremely relevant for the management of water resources. In this regard, two Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the UN can be highlighted, Drinking Water and Sanitation and Life in Water, both aimed at monitoring and preserving environmentally vulnerable ecosystems. The impacts on water quality and biodiversity are even greater in water bodies that receive effluents from Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), especially those with low flow rates. The Pouso do Meio stream fits into these characteristics and as an aggravation, it presents a significant reduction in water volume during the dry period, which in Tocantins occurs in 6 months of the year. From this perspective, the present work aims to monitor the water quality of the Córrego Pouso do Meio at different periods of the year. To this end, physical-chemical and microbiological analyzes were carried out to characterize the water, evaluating different points of the Pouso do Meio stream in both urban and rural areas. The point with the lowest water quality corresponds to the ETE release point, however, there was no effluent discharge during the collection period.
