UM OLHAR GEOSSOCIOLINGUÍSTICO SOBRE OS TABUS LINGUÍSTICOS EM COMUNIDADES QUILOMBOLAS DA AMAZÔNIA PARAENSE

The present article aims to describe and analyze three linguistic maps that are part of the Atlas Geossociolinguístico Quilombola do Nordeste do Pará (AGQUINPA) belonging to the semantic field of conviviality and social behavior, namely: Map L82 – menstruation (QSL 121); Map L95 – unintelligent person (QSL 137); and Map L99 – prostitute (QSL 142), from the perspective of linguistic taboos. AGQUINPA mapped six remaining quilombo communities in the Northeast mesoregion of Pará, with a total of 24 socially stratified informants, considering the variables sex (male and female) and age (age group I: 18 to 30 years and age group II: 50 to 65 years), based on the theoretical-methodological assumptions of pluridimensional dialectology. The analysis showed the use of euphemisms to replace words considered taboo, from a linguistic point of view, in addition to the presence of a heterolexic norm, given the high number of variants recorded in each of the three selected maps.
