Guidelines for Authors
The Revista Tocantinense de Matemática (ReTMAT) publishes original and unpublished manuscripts in the fields of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Mathematics Education. Submitted manuscripts must present scientific relevance, theoretical and methodological rigor, as well as appropriate textual and bibliographic organization.
Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official journal template, available in .tex format. Particular attention should be given to the standardization of references, figures, tables, theorems, proofs, and other structural elements of the manuscript.
At the initial submission stage, authors must upload exclusively the following PDF files:
- Identified version: containing authors’ names, institutional affiliations, e-mails, ORCID identifiers (when applicable), and other identification information;
- Anonymous version: intended for the peer-review process, without any information that may identify the authors or their institutions.
After submission, the manuscript will undergo a preliminary editorial assessment, in which aspects related to the journal’s scope, originality, scientific relevance, technical quality, and compliance with ReTMAT editorial standards will be evaluated.
Manuscripts considered suitable will proceed to the peer-review process, according to the journal’s editorial policy. The editorial team may request corrections, structural adjustments, or revisions at any stage of the editorial process.
Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author must provide:
- the editable source file in
.texformat; - all figure and image files used in the manuscript, in editable and/or high-resolution formats;
- any additional files requested by the editorial office.
After the typesetting stage, authors will receive the final proof of the manuscript for verification and approval. At this stage, only minor corrections related to text revision, typography, or formatting will be accepted, and substantial modifications to the scientific content of the manuscript will not be permitted.
After completion of the editorial procedures and approval of the final proof by the authors, the article will be published in continuous flow within the current journal issue.
